How much is High Tea?
$17.50 per guest, not including tax and gratuity.
High Tea cost for children?
Our High Tea cost is per seated guest, all guests including children in the High Tea party are charged $17.50 each.
Is a reservation required for High Tea?
Yes, reservations are required for High Tea. If you are not coming for High Tea we have baked goods, both sweet and savory, as well as coffee and tea that can be ordered a la carte from our Counter Menu.
What time should we arrive for High Tea?
Guests should arrive no more than 10 minutes before the High Tea reservation start time.
Where do we park?
Dr. Bombay’s is located in the residential district of Candler Park. Free parking is allowed along McLendon Avenue, Clifton Road and neighboring streets. Please be courteous and do not park in the lots of the surrounding businesses.
May we take photos during our High Tea?
Cell phone/personal photos are welcomed; professional photography sessions are not allowed without a prearranged signed contract.
May we bring a cake or champagne?
We do not allow any outside food or beverages, no exceptions.
May we request a substitution to High Tea menu?
We offer a gluten-free substitution that must be requested in advance. We do not offer any other substitutions.
Does the High Tea menu contain meat?
No, our High Tea menu is vegetarian, as is our entire store.
What if we need to request gluten free or vegan food options?*
We do our best to provide gluten free and vegan options for purchase at our counter. If you are booking a High Tea reservation please note that you will need Gluten Free in your booking. We do not offer a vegan option for High Teas at this time.
*For those with food allergies, our kitchen prepares items containing nuts, milk, eggs, wheat and soy.
What is the dress code for High Tea?
Restaurant casual to special occasion, this is your High Tea, dress as you please - mermaid, business attire, superheroes all are welcome!
Will our group be seated in a private room?
Dr. Bombay's does not have a private room for reservations. All High Tea parties are served in the Tea House or on the garden patio, weather permitting. Seating location for High Tea is based on the number and size of parties scheduled for the day. Please let us know if your group requires a handicap accessible table.
We have 20 guests, will our group be seated at same table?
Dr. Bombay's does our best to ensure our guests are seated at one table. Please note, for groups of 12 or larger, you may be seated at multiple/adjacent tables.
Can we bring decorations to our High Tea party?
While the shop and presentation is already very ornate, we kindly request only small party favors, decorations or flower arrangements. Guests are to remove all decorations at the end of their High Tea time. Balloons are not permitted. Please keep in mind that there will be several trays, plates, teapots, and teacups on the table, as well. We kindly request guests decorate only during their scheduled High Tea time.
Is a gift table provided or may we bring a gift table?
As we are a small business with an intimate setting, we do not have a designated area for a gift table. You are welcome to store gifts under your seats or on our bookshelves, space permitting.
Can we play or provide music?
Dr. Bombay's provides background music at a level which allows all of our guests to hold and enjoy conversations.
Is my credit card charged online prior to my reservation?
No. The card number given when you made your online reservation (7 or less guests) is used to hold your reservation. A $10 per person fee will be charge for any reservation not cancelled online 48 hours prior to your reservation time or for failing to show up on the day of your reservation.
Is the 50% deposit for large High Tea parties refundable?
It is refundable up to 2 weeks prior to your reservation date.
